Photo Challenge 2017

It's time again for this years Photo Challenge!  I will be posting my pictures on Instagram and you can share yours there, and see mine!  The hashtag to use this year is #MsFishsPhotoChallenge2017 and I hope you decide to join me!  Here is the list of the pictures...

And this is the calendar I will be using. I am again skipping the 4th of July.

I have also started a Google Calendar for the photos so I get a reminder each day with the photo number and what the photo should be.  It's just easier that way especially with a busy kiddo!!!  You can see this calendar here, and if you want to be added to the calendar just comment with your email address and I will add you!

Photo Challenge 2016

As I stated on my last post of my 2015 Photo Challenge I am going to only post my daily photo on my Instagram account which will also post to Twitter and Facebook.  So if you'd like to follow along, here is the list for this year!  You can also use the links provided above to follow me on Instagram or Twitter.  If you want to participate I am starting a new hashtag, #MsFishsPhotoChallenge2016 so all of the daily photos are linked!!!

I am also attaching the calendar I am using for this year's challenge,  I am starting with my first photo on June 1st, and this will go through the end of August, skipping weekends and the 4th of July. For a total of 65 days, and 65 photos!!!

Photo Challenge - Photo 55, Selfie! My final photo!!!

And it's finally here!  My last photo challenge photo!!!  We are back where we started with a selfie...

Photo Challenge - Photo 54, Minions

Finally!  The picture I have been looking forward to all summer!  Minions!!!  Those that know me know that I have a small minion obsession...ok it's huge.  During glass camp this year I decided that I wanted to make a minion sun-catcher.  I couldn't find a pattern so I drew one up!  And was able to give him to my bestie sister today as a housewarming gift!  He's so cute!!!

Photo Challenge - Photo 53, Something Green

Countdown to a finished Photo Challenge! After this photo there are only two more!!!  Woot!  This has been harder than I thought it would be.  Mostly because in the last week it seems like my days have gotten more hectic and I don't think to blog until I'm in bed, and/or I haven't taken any photos that would go with the photo challenge.

Today's photo fell in my lap, well more like hopped on my hand and then onto the wall!  A beautiful green tree frog!!!

Photo Challenge - Photo 52, A Mess

We had a really big mess that was discovered after this weekend...I went to grab something from under the sink and it was soaked! We had a leak in the plumbing!!!  So we cleared it all out, mopped up the water and then DH fixed the leak (which was an adventure in itself), and we spent time with a fan pointed into the cabinet to get it all dry before I put everything back...

Photo Challenge - Photo 51, Shoes

I love shoes!  Anyone that knows me can attest to this!  My shoe of choice used to be anything with a heel.  Now I lean towards flats.  I have a bench at the end of my bed that has storage in it and I use that for keeping my collection of flats and tennis shoes! It's a jumbled mess right now until I can figure out how to build some partitions.  But that is a project for another day!

Photo Challenge - Photo 50, Outside

Well I missed a day, trying to keep up with a photo challenge on top of everything else life throws at you, sometimes you forget...tee hee!  Well I'm just going to skip that day and the rest of the pictures will be a day behind!

Today's challenge photo is simply outside, I took this photo a few days ago, but I just love the way it looks!  So I'm using it as my challenge photo.

Photo Challenge - Photo 49, Inside

Today has been a long day!  Up early to take some kiddos to cheer practice and been going almost nonstop ever since!  Today's challenge photo was taken inside my house, and was a shot I have been trying to get for a while, but I usually get interrupted by Hammond when I am down on the floor with Fergus, but I finally got the shot of my oldest puppy's paws!

Photo Challenge - Photo 48, Moon

It's a bit tricky to get a good picture of the moon this time of the month, maybe even this time of year.  The moon seems far off, and it's just a sliver of a moon visible.  So I did my best, and combined it with a beautiful sunset shot to give you today's challenge photo!

Well today did not really go as planned.  We are puppy sitting and I kinda forgot to take my photo challenge photo...and the sun has set today.  Fortunately I have a picture that I took exactly one year ago today!  And it's one of my favorites!  The sun was setting while we were on the lake and I was able to capture it before we sped off to the dock!

Photo Challenge - Photo 46, Monochrome

There are essentially two ways to do this challenge photo, you can find a scene that is already monochrome in nature and take a picture, or you can make a photo monochrome using filters.  I opted to make a picture monochrome.   Today I participated in my first ever 5k, we walked most of it, but did run parts of it.  And it was all done in the rain!

Photo Challenge - Photo 45, A rare treat

It's hot, summer is here with a vengeance!  I was not prepared for the heat and humidity.  You would think that living in the mid-west my whole life I would be acclimated to the ick, but I'm not.  I was out running errands and decided to treat myself to something cold and yummy!  My rare treat, because I don't eat these all the time...but man does it hit the spot today!

A photo taken from below. It was tricky because when I got below the dogs they kept wanting to come down to me for snuggles...I did manage to get this shot though, and I think it turned out the way I wanted it to!

Photo Challenge - Photo 42, Complicated

This was a very difficult challenge photo!  How do you capture complicated in a photo? I did ponder it all day long, even asking my DH how do you take a picture of something complicated!?  And it dawned on me, a puzzle is complicated, and I do have a 1000 piece puzzle...so here is a picture of my complicated puzzle!!!

As I mentioned in my post yesterday, it is HOT here in Missouri (misery) and humid.  What better way to cool off than with a nice cold ice cream sundae!  Which is what I had for dinner today!

Photo Challenge - Photo 40, Warmth

Two days ago it was fall-like weather....not anymore.  Summer is here (finally) and we have the excessive heat warnings to prove it!  So it is no surprise that my picture of warmth is one of my kiddos playing in water on a hot summer day!  Cause it was warm!!! Hot really, we were even sitting in the shade playing in the water...hot.

Our neighborhood is not full developed yet.  Our house is on the last developed street so we have vacant lots behind our house.  It is great for bird watching, bad because of the mice (shudder). Today I was doing some bird watching and caught this cute picture of two birds that look like they are having a conversation.  It is common to have a lot of birds in my backyard because I put feeders up.

Over Memorial Day weekend I posted about a project I did, turning a screen door into a jewelry holder (click here to read that post). So today when I saw that my photo challenge was to photograph jewelry I of course had to re-photograph that project because it is just so fun and pretty!!!
